welcome to the world of inclusive!

What's Included?

image108

Contrary to the name, it’s not always clear what’s included. For a deluxe experience some resorts build everything into their package price so you’ll never have to reach for your wallet or be surprised by additional charges. Some resorts start with the basics and then allow guests to pick and choose the amenities they’d like in addition.

All-inclusive resorts always includes:

  • Lodging, with various room types
  • 3 meals per day and snacks
  • Beverages
  • Resort taxes and gratuities

Most all-inclusive resorts have a buffet-style dining option available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and restaurant dining available for lunch and/or dinner. Included beverages range from house wine and domestic beers (local to the resort’s region) to top-shelf international liquors and cocktails. Some resorts have posted meal times, while others facilitate dining around the clock. Room service is often available (sometimes at an additional fee)

A variety of activities are common at all-inclusives - often times complimentary non-motorized water sport equipment such as:

  • Snorkel gear
  • Kayaks
  • Paddleboards

Additional activities that come at an additional fee include:

  • Diving equipment
  • Catamarans
  • Fishing equipment and excursions
  • Yoga, Pilates, and other fitness classes
  • Wine and liquor tasting
  • Cooking and cocktail classes
  • Spanish lessons
  • Dance classes
  • Golf

  • Nearly all resorts have a fitness center with various equipment. Access is usually complimentary.

  • All-inclusive resorts generally have a spa - sometimes the spa is simply a whirlpool and sauna, other times it is a full service spa offering massages, facials, and nail services. These services come at an additional fee.

  • All-inclusive resorts typically offer some sort of evening entertainment - whether live music or shows, demonstrations of local dance, comedy shows, or movies in the resort theater. Daytime activities might include beach volleyball, access to a game room, bingo, shuffleboard, or organized group activities.

  • Some resorts are adults-only or cater to couples-only.   Adult only all inclusive properties are exactly like they sound- for adults only.  However, some all inclusive resorts offer the best of both world's; where there are adult only areas, but also family friendly areas.

  • Family-Friendly resorts often have a Children’s Activity Program with activities aimed at entertaining children under 12. These activities are usually included.

  • The important thing to take away is that there is an all-inclusive resort out there to fit every traveler. It’s the job of your travel agent to get to know your dreams and preferences and to find the optimal travel experience for you!

our Tips for making the most out of your stay:

Navigate the resort like a pro!

image112

DO determine what you are looking for from your vacation. Some resorts prioritize families or couples; some offer numerous activities or cater to specific clientele such as divers or honeymooners; still others offer specialized food and drinks and deliver everything on a silver platter. Don’t miss out by going to a resort that doesn’t cater to what you’re really looking for! Fill out our in-depth client questionnaire so we can find the very best resort for you!

DO take advantage of classes and lessons offered. It’s common for resorts to offer dance classes, language lessons, intro level scuba classes, wine tastings, or live performances periodically throughout the week - and they’re often included!

DON’T miss out. Talk to the concierge upon your arrival, and let them know what interests you - whether it’s restaurant recommendations, activities offered, or excursion options. They are your onsite consultants and are there to help you feel at home.

DO get a tan - safely. Coming from a northern region with a drastically different climate will make your skin more vulnerable to the sun. Pack plenty of sunscreen, aloe, sunglasses, and a light sun covering.

DON’T forget to hydrate. With all-inclusive drinks it can be easy to take in plenty of liquids, but not enough H2O. Stay fresh with bottled water and juices!

DO treat yourself. You’re already treating yourself, but go the extra mile - get a massage, have breakfast in bed, or take a nap in a hammock beside the sea. You’re here - enjoy it!
